After three years of complex and meticulous interventions, carried out with the utmost care from both a historical-artistic and conservation standpoint, the restoration of the Trinity by Masaccio—one of the most significant masterpieces of the early Renaissance—has finally been completed.
This important achievement represents not only the material recovery of the work, but also the return to the community of a heritage of extraordinary cultural, spiritual, and artistic value.
To appropriately mark the completion of the restoration, two distinct events have been organized, designed to highlight both the institutional and cultural dimensions of the occasion:
10:00 AM – Official Presentation of the Restoration: an institutional gathering featuring brief remarks by authorities and key figures involved in the project, who will present the phases of the intervention, the methodological choices, and the significance of the work within its historical, spiritual, and artistic context.
9:00 PM – Concert: a musical event entrusted to Paolo Fresu, one of the most distinguished figures on the contemporary scene, who has drawn inspiration from the theological depth and expressive power of Masaccio’s work to create an original program conceived specifically for this occasion.
The initiative aims to offer the public a comprehensive experience in which art, faith, history, and music enter into dialogue, fostering a renewed contemplation of a masterpiece that continues to speak to the present.
